AQURON® MVB™ is an amber colored milky aqueous dispersion liquid that when applied properly to Portland cement concrete, will penetrate sealing the concrete’s surface. AQURON® MVB™ forms a clear to milky film surface depending on the concrete’s density and surface finish that is durable and tenacious in adhering to concrete’s surface.

AQURON® MVB™ forms a clear to milky film surface depending on the concrete’s density andsurface finish that is durable and tenacious in adhering to concrete’s surface.
AQURON® MVB™ is a single application product, that is a permanent moisture vapor blocker that can help reduce moisture vapor transmission to below the threshold levels established by coatings and topical manufacturers.
When properly applied AQURON® MVB™ will reduce moisture vapor emissions rate from 6 to 3 pounds or less in approximately 24 hours. Where emission rates are higher than 6 pounds, a pretreatmentwith AQURON® CPT-2000™ is required. (Consult with Aquron’s Technical Department.) (It is suggested that ASTM 1869 calcium chloride test be used to establish final moisture content.)
AQURON® MVB™ also densifies, strengthens and adds abrasion resistance to the surface ofconcrete, forming a non-tacky surface when dry.
AQURON® MVB™ is a single-application moisture vapor blocker that serves as an effective primer for coatings. It forms a clear to milky film on the surface, depending on the concrete’s density and finish, providing a durable and strong bond that significantly reduces moisture-vapor transmission to levels below the thresholds set by most coating and topical manufacturers. When properly applied, AQURON® MVB™ lowers the moisture-vapor emission rate from 6 pounds to 3 pounds or less within 24 hours. In addition to its moisture-blocking properties, AQURON® MVB™ densifies, strengthens, and enhances the abrasion resistance of concrete, creating a non-tacky surface when dry. This product permanently seals concrete, making it an excellent primer for coatings while also improving thermal resistance. However, AQURON® MVB™ should not be used in direct contact with solvent-based adhesives or coatings. To use with such materials, a 100% solids water-based primer must be applied over the MVB before the solvent-based coatings. After applying AQURON® MVB™, it is recommended to wait at least 24 hours before applying any impervious coatings or coverings.
