Imagine being able to paint something with a paint that will last virtually forever! Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? It’s not! Homes and buildings painted over 40 years ago with LUMEN technology have not been repainted. They still look great!
LUMEN is simple to use. Simply add this one quart of LUMEN to a gallon of acrylic/latex paint, blend, and apply. LUMEN will not change the color of the paint, but changes everything else about it. LUMEN turns ordinary latex paint into an elastomeric coating that can expand and contract with the siding on your home, which adds years of life to the paint. It also greatly improves color stability, so paint doesn’t fade nearly as fast.
Since the beginning, well over 10 years ago, we’ve sold this product with a “no questions asked” 100% money-back warranty and we haven’t had one claim. Not one. All we get is love mail. People extol the virtues of this product, talking about how easy it is to work with, how good it looks, and most of all, how it’s solved their maintenance problem.
Shown and priced in one quart container.
For reference: You will see references to POLYMATRx. The trade name of the product was changed to LUMEN in 2015 as part of a marketing decision to better position the product as one that will keep colors bright and vibrant.

You’d be out of your mind not to use it!!!
It was a tough sell in the beginning, but once prospective clients see what we have done with it they can’t wait to get it done. One customer with a century home struggled with vinyl siding or our coating (polymatrx). It was a tough sell but upon completion he said “I never would have thought my old house could look brand new”. He has sent us four more referrals!
My “old school” painters scoffed at the idea. They’ve seen it all. After the first use they were sold. You wouldn’t believe the difference over regular paint when applying. It’s all we use anymore.
I now use several different Encore products….all with equal success. Thanks Encore for making me look brilliant.

BUY THIS PRODUCT! (Bottom line.)
So, I must start by saying I was a skeptic when I found this product back in 2001. I used it, and the paint on my home still looks like it did back then – 13 years ago. Those “dots are easy to connect”. I have now skipped a paint job, which was $7,500 back in ’01. So, given inflation, etc., Polymatrix has saved me about $9k.
Next, I have two rental properties that we painted back in ’04 and they are now 10 years old. Those jobs look great too. They would be on their second paint job as well, which would have been another $8k.
At the time, the cost of Polymatrx really made me think about whether or not to trust the claims, but the $600 that I spent between all three properties was well worth it. Who knows, it looks like Polymatrix is going to let me skip another round of painting! Just a quick pressure wash and things are looking great.

We used this product about 15 years ago to paint a horse barn (which still looks awesome) and have been trying to find it online or at a retailer! So happy to have found it!! It is amazing stuff and it’s great when you find a product that really performs as advertised.

Great Product I painted my house with polymatrx 17 years ago and have not touched it since. When applied over bare wood this product could last almost forever. I have since had numerous painting jobs where I recommended Polymatrx, some as long as 13 years ago and the paint still looks fresh. There’s no comparison with any product out there. Its not to often you can buy a product that really works.
Thanks Encorecoatings

This may be the best product in paints. I am so impressed. I’ve bought this product over the years and jobs that I did 5-10 years ago still look the same. I don’t understand why it’s not on every paint counter in America. Although the company doesn’t say much about it, this product keeps colors from fading out. I have noticed several jobs that would have already needed repainting by now, but they look like I painted them a week ago. Polymatrx makes paint better in every way and I wouldn’t even think about painting without it now.

In 2003, we used Polymatrx to re-paint a mural on one of city’s older buildings. At the time, we were impressed with how it improved the “workability” of the paint. It just made the paint lay down better. The finish was wonderful.
Today, 11 years later, it still looks great. It’s already doubled the life of the last paint job. I’ve continued to use this product wherever possible. It’s the bomb!

I bought this product in 2003 and used it to paint my home. Today, ten years later, my home still looks great. We pressure washed it last year and it looks wonderful. WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT! I would have had to repaint 5 or 6 years ago. Instead, I’m able to do other things around the home. Highly recommend – wish this had a 6-star option.

We used this product several years ago to paint the deck railing on our home. We’ve been impressed with the results and we’re back, ready to paint our home. The hand rails, after all these years (6??), still look good and they take a beating in the sun.

Good product. Went on easy. Some of the product spilled and dried. Couldn’t believe how tough it is when it dries. The resulting color was a perfect color match. I’m drinking the KoolAid.

We’ve been buying POLYMATRx for over seven years, doing one paint job at a time on our old home. The oldest paint job looks like the recent and our home is now 100% complete. The house looks amazing. This is a great product and we recommend it to others in the neighborhood.

I love this product. As a residential painter, I want to give my customer the best product I can find. This product lets me use the customer’s color choice, regardless of the brand. Some paint brands are better than others, but POLYMATRx levels the playing field. I’ve been amazed to see the homes I painted years ago – they are hanging in there. Still look great. I highly recommend this product!

We purchased our Victorian house in 1979 knowing that maintaining this 140 year ” Painted Lady” would be an ongoing process. In the past 30 years painting her has become a labor of love and I have tried many oil and water based paints. As the chemistry of latex paint improved over the years I was always on the search for the best, the brightest, and most durable paint. In 2006 I found Polymatrx and I was absolutely blown away with the results. I used Polymatrx with a variety of different quality paints and the results were all the same. Outstanding! As a former teacher, I give Polymatrx an ” A+”. I used Polymatrx with 7 different colors from 7 different brands of paint. I painted the aluminum awnings, wooden shutters, siding clapboards, steel cellar door, the gingerbread trim, and even painted my lawn furniture. The results look the same today as it did the day I painted. Despite the variety of weather we have in PA, there is no peeling or cracking, the colors are still bright and fresh looking, and our house glistens. How durable is the Polymatrx? A week after I painted I realized I forgot to clean my paint mixer that I use with my Dewalt cordless drill. Getting the paint off my mixer was like pulling the thick white durable coating off outdoor wiring. My friend and I couldn’t believe it. We needed a utility knife to remove it and that was a chore. I think the only time I will need to paint again is if we decide change some colors.
